About The Perennial Traditionalist
A brief note
The Perennial Traditionalist is a journey through the calendar year with regular postings about old traditions and customs from bygone days, as well as historical information about the meaning and purpose of these customs. The customs may be either cultural, season, or religious. It should be noted, however, that the author writes primarily from an Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Croatian, Mexican, Irish, English and German background, so most customs tend to reflect these cultures. In addition, it should be noted that the liturgical calendar used to reflect on Catholic customs is the pre-1955 Roman calendar, prior to the changes of Pope Pius XII and well before the changes of the Novus Ordo and Vatican II.
